Karissa Bieschke is a Product Designer who specializes in furniture, lighting, and home decor. She began her design career in 2000 as a Costume and Fashion Designer in Los Angeles, California, and later broadened her scope while studying Product Design at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Over the last decade, Karissa has worked professionally in a wide range of materials with a hands-on approach – including glass, metal, wood, ceramic, textiles, plastics, and rubber. She has produced work for retailers including Macy’s, JCPenney, and The Home Depot, and currently works full-time as a Product Designer at West Elm.
In addition to her retail work, Karissa began a custom design business in 2013 that caters to high-end trade showrooms, creating locally produced, exclusive designs in limited production runs. She has also been teaching in the Product Design Department at her Alma Mater, Parsons School of Design since 2010.
